“In Greek mythology, Adonis was the most beautiful
handsome youth who died and was reborn. Like many other
mythological figures who are resurrected, Adonis became
associated with the annual cycle of the seasons in which
plants die in the fall and grows again in the spring.

The handsome Adonis was often said to have had other
lovers in addition to Persephone and Aphrodite, most of them
DIVINE. It is also believed that he was the homosexual lover
of the god Apollo and the hero Heracles, while others said
that he was carried off by Dionysus.

Each year in ancient Greece, the worshipers of Adonis,
celebrated his rebirth by planting “gardens of Adonis” for
festivals held in his honor. The god has become a symbol of
