Helena de Bertodano discusses ‘The Girl Before’, her new BBC One psychological thriller series.
“Mbatha-Raw plays one of the leads, Jane, who moves into what seems to be her dream home, only to find that the land-lord, played by David Oyelowo, has very strange rules and that a previous tenant – who looks uncannily like her – has died there. ‘I thought it had an interesting combination of style and substance,’ she says. ‘The mystery of it was intriguing and also, to be quite honest, it gave me the chance to work in the UK after a long time on hiatus [in the US during the pandemic].’” -Tatler UK
